I’ve decided to move my scans over from instagram onto this blog so that hopefully the image quality will be better. This includes some things I got recently, like this Shinjuku OIONE (?) limited edition December 2001 promotional leaflet. It mostly includes the upcoming events for that month, but there are some lolita features. Time travel with me!

  Welcome to my humble wardrobe post… *lightning crackles* This is the first year that I’ve done a wardrobe post because I always feel like my collection is incomplete in some key areas to make it functional enough to show off, but if you don’t mind that it is small, please enjoy~ This is my beast of a wardrobe. It is an antique Victorian wardrobe made of solid mahogany that I got from Facebook Marketplace. It took 4 adults to lift because of how giant and heavy it is. It holds all of my lolita and goth and practical clothes. There is a set of drawers inside where I store headwear and socks. I’d like to put a shoe rack in too for extra storage, but I am nowhere close to filling it anytime soon.  Moi-Même-Moitié EGL-07049 blouse release year: 1999 or 2000 I love this blouse. It is sheer so it comes with a cami underneath that is very cropped so I usually end up with a tiny triangle of skin showing unless I wear my skirt up to my ribs lol. Early Imai Kira

  Let’s explore Imai Kira pre- Angelic Pretty! Most of us were introduced to Imai Kira’s beautiful illustrations through her collaborations with Angelic Pretty inside the glossy pages of the Gothic & Lolita Bibles.  The two began working together sometime in 2001. The following year, Angelic Pretty released clothing with screen-printed Imai Kira illustrations. The two have been intertwined ever since. I think her original art book ‘Rosette’ (released in 2002) summarises the Angelic Pretty influence on her work that is still felt today. It has all the hallmarks of oldschool sweet lolita that you would expect from that time (gingham, strawberries, bunnies) but holds on to some of the edginess from her past.
