Trivia- John Koviak was briefly a guitarist/bassist for London After Midnight, before leaving to pursue his solo project Sub Version. He is also Polish apparently! Eastern European gothic representation

“Azrael’s Pardon,” 1990

Trivia- Azrael is the benevolent angel of death written about in various Abrahamic religious texts.

Trivia- Tia Giles in this shoot was featured prominently in a Propaganda videozine of the same name. She plays an immortal vampire who feasts on the blood of her bound and undressed female victims.

“Kali’s Swoon” 1993
Model: Pola Weiss

Trivia- Pola Weiss dated Trent Raznor of NIN during the 90s. And had some sort of relationship with M*rilyn M*nson, but we don’t speak of that.

Lilly-Marlen” 1990
Model: John Koviak

Trivia- ‘Lili Marlen’ (spelling varies) was a German folk song popular in WW2 with both the axis and allied forces. Despite the SS and Nazi memorabilia used in photoshoots in connection with this song, ‘Lili Marlene’ is at its heart an anti-war song, or at least a song mourning the tragedy of war. The lyrics lament that the soldiers will never again see their ‘Lilly Marlen” waiting at home for them. Lucifer Luscious Violenouรฉ released a song and PV with the title ‘Lillie Marlene’.

Trivia- Bela Lugosi is buried in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Ladera Heights, California. You can still visit and pay your respects to his grave.

Trivia- The carvings seen in the background are Grotesques, not Gargoyles, as one might assume.Grotesques are strictly decorative while Gargoyles serve a purpose. They are typically used to redirect water.
