An Introduction-

I have long been interested in the resurgence of the old web. There has been much nostalgia for dead sites such as Geocities, Myspace, Angelfire, Gaia, Livejournal, Yaplog, ect. I am too young and too new to the fashion to have participated when these sites were at their most active, so it is not a nostalgia from my past. It is a nostalgia for a time when the internet felt smaller. These blogs were much more simplistic in both layout and design than any social media platform popular now, but that added a charm that is lacking in the soulless neatly-manufactured internet of today. I wanted somewhere small to escape to, where I can interact with people who share my interests. I am pleased that many lolitas have kept up the blogging tradition in this new age. Pls share your Dreamwidth and Neocities sites with me in the comments if you have one.

My aspirations for this blog is to emulate the feel of a gothic lolita blog in the late 90s/ early 2000s. I want to transport you to a virtual 2002ish and live life with me in a perfect EGL time capsule. Shop at the lolita brand stores, attend liveshows of our favourite bands, and pose for photos on Harajuku bridge with me.

Escapism is the foundation of the lolita, after all.

  1. I am a fan of this little space of yours and we seem to share a lot of interests—and also, a birthday.

My dreamwidth is devilology and my website is devilology.gay if you are curious to see what I have over there. Feel free to add/message freely over on those platforms.
